Germany-based Ogalady hosts virtual African fashion business show

Creative fashion designers, fashion bloggers, jewellery makers, make-up artists, models, fashion brands and influencers from across the globe will gather virtually at the ‘Fashion Major Event’ on 29 May.

The creatives will showcase their designs and discuss the post-Covid world for fashion at the online exhibition-fair-conference themed Your Fashion Sense.

The pandemic has changed the way we live, work and do business. This is why Ogalady, a Germany-based platform that deals in clothing, shoes, accessories and other products, is hosting the event to afford fashion practitioners the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences and fashion the way forward for their industry.

Chinelo Ntagu, founder/director of Ogalady, says the event is aimed at helping businesses adapt to the changed realities, brand themselves better and provide them a forum to network.

Key speakers at the event, tagged The Business of Fashion, include the Nigerian artist Chief (Mrs) Nike Davies-Okundaye, who will talk about the Historical Importance of Adire Tie-Dye Production, and Sophy Wanjiku, who will discuss the Significance of Beads/Wearable Art.

Other speakers are Mokodu Fall, a fashion designer and artist, Fanny Nzie – Founder/CEO Face Beat Boulevard, Shiko Onyango – Tribal Trends by Shikoonyango, Esher Nweje – Lead image consultant Zinnystyles Limited, Ms Fee – Founder/ CEO 36 degrees, and Alessia Monastero – branding and intellectual property lawyer.

The event will be conducted online via zoom on Saturday 29 May 2021 at 4:00 PM (Central European Time), and will be shared on all social media platforms.
