THE AFRICAN COURIER. Reporting Africa and its Diaspora! The African Courier is an international magazine published in Germany to report on Africa and the Diaspora African experience. The first issue of the bimonthly magazine appeared on the newsstands on 15 February 1998. The African Courier is a communication forum for European-African political, economic and cultural exchanges, and a voice for Africa in Europe.
Germans can travel visa-free to 190 countries around the world, according to the latest Henley Passport Index.
The purple-coloured passport is therefore Europe’s most powerful.
However, the German passport is not the most powerful in the world. Japan and Singapore, with passports that permit visa-free travel to 192 destinations, jointly top the new global ranking of passport by the London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners.
With 190 visa-free destinations, South Korea is tied with Germany in the second place, while Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain are all in third place with 189.

The Henley Passport Index, based on exclusive data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has been regularly ranking the world’s most travel-friendly passports since 2006.
