THE AFRICAN COURIER. Reporting Africa and its Diaspora! The African Courier is an international magazine published in Germany to report on Africa and the Diaspora African experience. The first issue of the bimonthly magazine appeared on the newsstands on 15 February 1998. The African Courier is a communication forum for European-African political, economic and cultural exchanges, and a voice for Africa in Europe.
A Christian revival event, bringing African Christians and their German brethrens together, will take place in the south-western town of Speyer on 1 May.
The one-day gathering, christened Arise Africa, is to inspire Christians to rededicate themselves to the teaching of Jesus Christ and take up the task of spreading His word in Germany.
“Arise Africa calls on Africans to be united with the Germans to accomplish His purpose in the Land (Germany) that He has sent them to,” Pastor Frank Idiaru, co-organiser of the event, said.
“We want to inspire people to be ready and be in place, so that a great harvest of souls can be added to the Family of God in Germany,” he explained.
“God is preparing His people in Europe for a great outpouring of His spirit. Everywhere people are praying and fasting for a great awakening in Europe,” added Joan Idiaru, co-organiser and wife of Pastor Idiaru.
“Thus Arise Africa is an awakening call to Africans in Germany to get connected to the people of the Land as one body in Christ to bring about this great outpouring of His spirit in Europe,” she said.
The event, whose theme is “Be a Blessing for the Land”, is organized by Pastor Frank and Mrs Joan Idiaru under the leadership of Vineyard Speyer where they are members.
