Bazaar Berlin 2024 delights with global craftsmanship and culture

The 2024 edition of Bazaar Berlin drew an impressive 35,000 visitors to the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 6 to 10 November, offering a vibrant marketplace of unique goods from across the globe.

With over 500 exhibitors representing 58 countries, the fair showcased a stunning array of handmade products, ranging from fashion and jewelry to home décor and artisanal foods.

This year’s highlights included intricate origami jewelry from Colombia, cozy linen sweaters from Latvia, eco-friendly upcycled art from South Africa and premium cocoa from Madagascar.

Visitors appreciated the fair’s diverse offerings, with fashion, costume jewelry and specialty foods ranking among the most popular items. The themed sections — World Market, Art & Style, and Natural Living, were especially well-received, creating a dynamic shopping experience that many attendees plan to revisit in 2025.

According to Esther Piehl, Project Director of Bazaar Berlin, “Exhibitors shared their extraordinary creations and the fascinating stories behind them, captivating both loyal attendees and new visitors alike.”

Exhibitors were equally enthusiastic about their experience. Mama Afrika Spiritwork, a South Africa-based company showcasing handcrafted gifts and upcycled art, reported exceptional engagement. Founder Martina Zenker noted, “The Bazaar Berlin is truly the place to be. The openness and appreciation from customers have been phenomenal.”

Another standout was Afretna from Senegal, whose woven furniture captivated visitors. Diabel Faye shared, “This year felt even more like home. The positive feedback and increased sales were a testament to the event’s success.”

The 63rd Bazaar Berlin is already scheduled for 5-9 November 2025, promising another captivating blend of culture, creativity, and commerce.
