THE AFRICAN COURIER. Reporting Africa and its Diaspora! The African Courier is an international magazine published in Germany to report on Africa and the Diaspora African experience. The first issue of the bimonthly magazine appeared on the newsstands on 15 February 1998. The African Courier is a communication forum for European-African political, economic and cultural exchanges, and a voice for Africa in Europe.
Hundreds of Nigerians resident in The Netherlands and their supporters will hold a peaceful demonstration at the International criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague, venue of one of President Buhari’s events while in The Netherlands.
The Nigerian leader is currently on a 3-day visit to the country.
A release from the organizers direct all Nigerians to assemble at Oude Waalsdorpweg 10, The Hague (ICC Headquarters) between 10:00 am to 13:00pm on Tuesday, 17 July 2018. The protest is intended to draw the attention of President Buhari to the unacceptable state of insecurity in Nigeria, especially the wanton killings of Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen.
The peaceful demonstration will highlight other grievances held against the government by Nigerian diasporans in The Netherlands. Participants are advised to dress in black colour.
Some Nigerians in The Netherlands are surprised that “with President Buhari’s alleged crimes against humanity and alleged human rights abuses which ICC have been severally intimated, the same ICC found him to be a friend as to invite him”.

“The massacre of unarmed IPOB members by security forces under President Buhari’s supervision, the massacre of the Shi’ite Muslims and the genocidal herdsmen who kill at will without any known consequences for their actions are among the reasons why many Nigerians are surprised at ICC’s invitation.”
