With about three weeks to the annual general meeting of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDOE), the body’s chairman, Hon. Kenneth Gbandi, has called on members to update their membership.
Gbandi made the call on Thursday to draw the attention of members to NIDOE‘s rule which demands that only members who have paid their dues up to date would be able to contest for positions and vote. A new executive council of NIDOE will be elected at the gathering, holding in Vienna, Austria, on 8-10 November.
Moreover, issues of concern to Nigerians abroad as well as developments at home will be debated at the meeting.

“There will be a session at the AGM in Vienna devoted to the 2019 polls, which provides an opportunity for the political parties to engage with the Diaspora audience on their plans for Nigeria,” NIDOE had said in a separate statement last week.
The organisation has therefore invited all the presidential candidates of parties participating at the country’s next general election to an interactive engagement with the Nigerian Diaspora in Vienna.
“The session will enable the Diaspora to hear first-hand what the different political parties are offering and how they intend to collaborate with the Diaspora for the advancement of our nation,” NIDOE said.
Gbandi called on members of the organisation across Europe to endeavour to attend the annual meeting.
