“Today, as developing countries like ours strive to recover from the economic fallout caused by the global health pandemic, the need for partnerships and Foreign Direct Investments have become even more critical. Diaspora bonds for instance, according to a World Bank Publication, have a significant potential to help poor countries overcome the expected drop in Foreign Direct Investment by generating up to $50 billion per year. Similarly, in order to restore economic stability, capital flows into the Ghanaian economy must be revived and increased through Foreign Direct Investment.” Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, stated (GIPC).
Ghana German-Relations
Ghana is an important trading partner for Germany in the West African sub-region with Bilateral trade hitting more than 600 million euros at the end of 2020. I believe this partnership can only get stronger and better as the two nations work to articulate clear and specific area of interest for FDI to create wealth for both nations. Also, as Germany host a large population of Africa migrants, we will keenly work to convert the developed contacts and bonds into practical business operations to increase overall investment inflows” explained Yofi Grant.
