Nollywood Festival Germany holds in Frankfurt

Ehizoya Golden Entertainment will once again showcase the Nigerian film industry in Frankfurt am Main at the 2022 Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG).

The Festival and its sister event, Nollywood Europe Golden Award (NEGA), holding from 29 to 31 July, will feature screenings of Nollywood films, panel discussions on issues surrounding the Nigerian film industry, music concerts and an award gala night, at which outstanding personalities in Nigerian film and music, based at home and abroad, will be honoured.

The film screenings, including Amen Imaseun’s Son of Mercy, will take place at the FilmForum Hochst Cinema, Frankfurt.

“You know our motto is the show must go on. So, we are ready to roll. And with the Nigeria Embassy in Germany, Ethiopian Airlines, Bamah Nisi, Stadt Frankfurt Kulturamt, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Germany e.V. and others throwing their weight behind us, we have no option but to deliver a grand show,” festival director Isaac Izoya said.

The 3-day NFFG/NEGA 2022 marks 20 years that the Ehizoya Golden Entertainment has been organising several cultural integration shows across the entire EU.

The Festival, which pursues increased visibility, awareness and international collaborative opportunities for the Nigerian cultural industries, will be crowned with the Nollywood E-Golden Awards at which outstanding entertainment industry practitioners will be honoured.

And the award ceremony will feature live concerts of Aproko, Nollywood stars, Emperor Wada and Edo Sons of Legends.

The Festival, founded by Isaac Izoya and which debuted in 2002, holds annually and brings together African and European lovers of Nigerian films.
