Germany: Webinar on how to transition from Duldung to secure legal status holds

ANNOUNCEMENT

An informative online session discussing the transition from tolerated stay (Duldung) to a secure legal right of residence in Germany will be held on Wednesday, 2 October 2024.

Topics to be covered at the virtual event, titled “From Tolerated Stay to Right of Residence in Germany,” include the legal frameworks governing tolerated stay, options for regularizing one’s status and practical steps to take advantage of recent legal provisions.

The keynote speaker for the session is Reinhard Pohl, a renowned expert and editor of the Magazin-Verlag, a publication with a focus on migration and integration issues.

With years of experience covering the intricacies of Germany’s immigration policies and procedures, Pohl is well-equipped to provide participants with practical advice on how to transition from tolerated status to a more stable legal residency.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and seek advice on their specific situations.

The event is organized by GAIDI gUG, a nonprofit social organisation dedicated to the empowerment of migrants and refugees, as part of its ongoing YANA Berlin project.

The online event, to be conducted in German language with occasional translations to English, is free of charge. Interested individuals and organizations supporting/advising refugees and asylum-seekers are encouraged to attend the event.
